TELEDYNE MICROELECTRONIC TECHNOLOGIES
INTRODUCES "HRIP"
- Plastic Solid-State Power Controllers Are More
Cost Effective than Standard Hermetic Controllers-
LOS ANGELES, August 13, 2007 -Teledyne Microelectronic Technologies (TMT) announced today the new PC605 Power Series; a family of 10 Amp to 25 Amp plastic encapsulated, HRIP (High Reliability Industrial Part) Solid-State Power Controllers (SSPC) designed for use in Power Management & Distribution for Defense and Commercial Aviation applications.
Sam Calvillo, Vice President, Business Development, Teledyne Microelectronic Technologies said, "The PC605 Power Series are true HRIP components, offering extended operating temperatures, moisture resistance and more robust shock and vibration. These products serve a particular market niche between low cost, Commercial off the Shelf (COTS) and full Military qualified, hermetically sealed devices. "
The PC605 provide surge-tolerant short circuit protection, meet surge & spike requirements of MIL-STD-704A, comply with MIL-STD-461 EMI emission standards, low On-resistance, and temperature independent current rating and overload protection.
"SSPCs are electronic replacements for conventional electro-mechanical load relays and circuit protection all in one device," said Calvillo. "They provide a complete remote switching package, reducing component count, system weight and cost, and increasing system flexibility and reliability."
