S-Parameter Measurement

  • Typical measurement parameters: Gain, Return Loss (VSWR), Isolation
  • Typical frequency range: 10 MHz to 65 GHz 
  • Typical power range: -40 dBm to 0 dBm
  • Calculations: K-factor, Gain flatness

Noise Figure Measurement

  • Typical measurement parameters: Noise Figure, Associate gain
  • Typical frequency range: 10 MHz to 26.5 GHz 
  • Typical power range: Noise source power dependent

Power Input Power Output Sweep Measurement

  • Typical measurement parameters: Output power, Gain compression (p1dB)
  • Typical frequency range: 10MHz to 26.5 GHz
  • Typical power range: -60 dBm to +30 dBm

Two-Tone Measurement

  • Typical measurement parameters: IP2 (input or output), IP3 (input or output), IM3
  • Typical frequency range: 10 MHz to 50 GHz
  • Typical power range: -70 dBm to +30 dBm

Frequency Conversion Measurement

  • Typical measurements: Mixer, Multiplier, Divider
  • Typical measurement parameters: Conversion Gain, Conversion Loss, Frequency Conversion Accuracy
  • Typical frequency range: 10 MHz to 50 GHz
  • Typical power range: -70dBm to +30dBm

Other Measurements

  • Transfer Curves (DCIV, gm, etc.)

Typical tuning methods include:
